Whenever a person hears ‘Digital Watches’ the first thing that comes to mind is “G-shocks”. Casio has covered a very huge market in the world of digital watches. G-Shock’s are well known for its durability, day, date, and accurate time. There’s something about a G-Shock that goes against the core principles of revolutionary watch obsessives: It works on a small circuit board, it’s made from tech-forward materials, and it was born in 1983, centuries after the era when the first watchmakers started writing the history of the mechanical timepiece.
The new GA-2100, also known as CasiOak due to the case’s that resembles an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, breaks away from the square-shaped case. While the G-Shocks have been analog before, the GA-2100 presents the handset front and center, consistently overtaking the digital display and giving the watch a familiarity that mechanical watch collectors will love.

Blacked out with darkened lumes, inverted LCD, and that octagon bezel, it just looked stunningly beautiful.
The manufacturer calls his creation the Carbon Core Guard structure, which not only helps to improve the impact-resistant properties of the case (carbon is a very durable material), but also reduces the weight of the watch, and this is also important. To the right downward’s in a diamond shape is the LCD area which is hard to read at the best times. Whenever you have the misfortune of the hands sitting between 3 and 6 you’re in for a real bad time. Until you learn to press the light and mode buttons at the same time, momentarily moving the hands out of the way – but be careful, this can take anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds to do.

Functions.
The watch is powered with a battery having a capacity of, (3 years ) of battery life! That’s a long time. It is a g-shock it has so many functions. Firstly the watch has a very hard casing and is highly shock-resistant due to its core guard structure. The Dial is protected with mineral glass, with 200M water resistance which is good enough for a regular G-shock. There are other functions like the 31 countries’ timezone, with an accuracy of (+-)15 seconds of time accuracy. the only point that got me mesmerized was that in such a thin how could anyone add so many functions? If you plan on, using the actual functions of the watch like the timer or stopwatch you could be waiting a while to get going.

I personally love the design, G-Shock has surprised with it’s a sharp and sleek design, after all, it is similar to the historical ‘Royal Oak’. But it is very important to understand in the matter of ‘Tech’ no one can beat the ‘Japanese Technology’ and in no space, they have given so many functions. I admit it is no match to the G-Shock ‘origin’ (GMW-B5000) but still it is classy and powerful. It gives a good feel on hands, and not like the other G-shock’s that feel bulky on hands. The strap is really of high-quality rubber and it gives a premium look.
In the morning the watch would look great, but there are problems with the black ones at night you won’t be able to notice the time that quick enough until you are a true ‘Black’ Fanboys it won’t matter you much.
