  1. The latest tweets from @kulotsalot3000.
  2. Google translate: kulot salot. The phrase “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are” reminds me of that other phrase about birds and feathers flocking together, or something close to that –I don’t really remember the exact words are but try to google it.

You notice now how there’s a diet side to everything. There’s Coke Light, C2 Lite, San Mig Light. We have a diet option for everything from milk, to meat, to cereal, to chocolate. We even have a healthy sugar… it’s called Equal! Who would have thought three years ago that Jollibee would have salad? Nowadays, nobody wants to be weighed down by the excess fat, calories and sugar. And that’s no different when it comes to matters of the heart.
In today’s modern world, it’s best to take the light alternative. Love is beautiful and wonderful and is so absofuckinglutely fabulous. But love is hard work, it’s a commitment on your part to be with another person physically, emotionally and spiritually. Entering a relationship is essentially merging with another person. Easier said then imagined and much much harder to do. No matter how easy some people make it seem, real love is heavy. It’s a heavy burden on independence… on free-thinking… on free time… on career advancement… on family… on friendship… and on fun. That’s why we have to roll with the times and make it light. Diet love. It’s the latest thing.
How does it work? You date around, you have a fuck buddy, you have an “open” relationship. There are so many varieties of loving lightly. Personally, I keep it light by not investing my emotions fully. It’s a tough juggling act, but it’s my thing. Because at this point in my life, I know that I am not ready to find the “one”. The one is that person you want to be with forever and ever and ever. With my relationship history, I’m not even sure that the “one” exists. Besides, I have so much to do, so many things that I need to accomplish before I jump into the love game. I’m not ready to be weighed down by love.
Unfortunately, not a lot of people share my view of keeping it light. It’s a difficult concept to swallow because we live in a culture wherein we are taught that successful relationships lead to marriage. But what if we’re not looking to get married? What happens then, should we starve ourselves of human affection and the chance to get to know someone special? Maybe, but that’s seem harsh. It’s like that Atkins diet where you abstain from carbs. I love carbs! And I love boys! …I’m just not ready to settle down.
I can’t seem to lay off love in general, but I can choose to take the light alternative.
Kulot SalotSalotI can’t help it if I find someone I share a connection with. If this someone makes me happy, I like being around them. I want to get to know them better even if I know we’re not leading up to happily ever after. It’s like someone who’s addicted to Coke but has to cut down on the sugar… they just switch to the next best thing… Coke Light.

Basta Kulot Salot Lyrics

Truth be told though, no matter how much we fool ourselves into thinking that Coke Light is much better then Coke Regular… there is a very thin line that separates the two. Sometimes without warning, you get the regular kind and you don’t even know it. If ever that happens, just be thankful. Because nothing beats the real thing.LOVE LIGHT/
